| "I could say so much about our trip to Egypt that its hard to single out a few good things. I loved meditating in the king’s chamber of the great pyramid. From the deck of our cruise ship on the Nile I enjoyed seeing ancient dwellings still in use, farmers irrigating their crops with water pulled by oxen and wooden water wheels from the river and fishermen using the nets, boats and skills of their forefathers. The endless array of perfumes to sample combined with the smells of unfamiliar food wafting out from the colorful bazaar. Shopkeepers bartering and the camel ride into the Sahara desert with the pyramids as a backdrop was a surreal experience I won’t forget. The immensity of everything is probably what struck me most on our Egyptian trip. The temples, pyramids, statues and tombs are all done on a grand scale. Everywhere you turn there is a photo op you don't want to miss. Every stop along the way had something interesting, culturally enriching or great to eat or buy. I could redo the same trip and have a whole new experience there is so much to see and do. It was a great trip, I recommend it highly." |
